Over the summer I have been working with Kate Pugh at The Heritage Alliance on their next three-year strategic plan - 2012 to 2015. This is based on system of strategic planning which has been developed over many years on a range of projects. The planning system uses a 7 step process with either a half day, day or 2 day workshop process. 3 two-day workshops were run for the Imperial War Museum's 5 sites in 2008. This was central to them setting their current strategic direction and being able to weather the current financial cuts.
The July planning workshop for The Heritage Alliance ran at Kensington Palace in spaces kindly donated by Historic Royal Palaces.
