We were commissioned by Civic Regeneration to develop the tourism and cultural elements of the Masterplan for Askern.

Askern is a small town on the A19 north of Doncaster. Once a charming spa town it boomed when coal was extracted in the late C19th and C20th period of coal extraction from the South Yorkshire coal field.

Today it has suffered decline following the closure of the pit. The Masterplan is designed to boost the visitor economy and aid economic regeneration.
